No, but you are welcome to bring your own swimming aids for the pool. Please take them with you at the end of your swim.

The pool is heated to between 30-32 degrees Celsius. The pool is one depth of 1.2m.

Where needed there are stair gates installed in each cottage- in Wild Cherry there is a removable one that you can put in if needed at the top of the stairs. The Farmhouse has them at the top and bottom of the stairs. Rowan has one at the top of the stairs down to the 3rd and 4th bedroom. Walnut has one at the top and bottom of the stairs. Hornbeam and Chestnut as one at the top of the stairs.  

We do not provide bed guards, you are welcome to bring your own if needed.

Yes, each cottage has one highchair, two on request. We also provide children’s cutlery, plates, bowls and cups.

Yes we can provide a travel cot on request. Please bring your own bedding for this.

Guests are welcome to check in from 4pm on the day of arrival. Please contact me in advance to see if an early check in is possible. Check out is by 10am on the day of departure. If you require a late checkout, please ask in advance. This may not be possible due to same day changeovers, although we will try to accommodate as much as we can.

We have 3 mapped walks in the welcome book that guests are able to walk. We do not allow guests to walk across all the fields for health and safety purposes. We kindly ask guests to check it is safe to access the walks, especially through the farm yard before doing their walk.

In most circumstances we accept hen and stag parties- please note we are very rural and therefore not suitable for all types of hen/stag dos. We are more for the quiet and relaxing type, we are not a party venue. It would be welcomed to discuss plans before booking to ensure we are the right place for your event.

Yes, you can book as many cottages as you need for your holiday. Group bookings are very popular here at Vale Farm cottages- for big birthdays, hen and stag parties, corporate away days and families or friends.

Yes we have BBQs available for guests to use. They require coal- please purchase your own coal and please clean the BBQs after use. BBQs must not be used on the balconies or near the stairs of Oak.

No, we do not allow charging of any cars or e-bikes. It is not covered under our insurance and the cost of this is not factored into the cost of the holiday. There are car charging points in Brecon, please ensure you plan charging points before arrival.

Brecon is the nearest town where you will find Morrisons and Aldi, plus the Co-op. There are several takeaways in Brecon, unfortunately most will not deliver but it is about 13 minutes into Brecon from the cottages. We have found that ringing ahead with an order means it is almost ready to collect when you get there. More information will be in your welcome email.

Yes most major supermarkets deliver to us, Ocado is the only one currently that doesn’t. Please ensure food deliveries are booked for after your arrival as we are unable to accept food deliveries for you. Please put the name of your cottage on the delivery address.

Each cottage will have canisters of tea, coffee and sugar, hand soap in each bathroom and in the kitchen, 1 toilet roll per bathroom (please bring extras if needed), washing up liquid, enough dishwasher tablets for one cycle per day of your stay.

Yes all our prices include bed linen and towels for us in the cottages. We kindly ask that you bring towels for use in the pool and hot tubs as the chlorine from these damages the towels. In the cottage you will also find- oven gloves, hand towels (one per bathroom), bath mat, dish cloth and tea towel. You are obviously welcome to bring your own too but these will also be available.

Yes the cottages are together in a complex- you have Rowan at the front of the complex as you come down the drive, 5 cottages around a courtyard where the pool also is and the Farmhouse overlooking the courtyard.

Smoking is not allowed inside any of our cottages, pool or The Coppice. Please use the outside spaces to smoke. Smoking of recreational drugs is strictly prohibited on site.

Yes we welcome dogs at Vale Farm Cottages free of charge. We kindly ask that dogs are kept on leads around the farm due to the amount of livestock around the cottages and farm.

We request that all dogs are fully housetrained, puppies should be over 6 months of age (out of their chewing stage) and are not left on their own due to their young age. Generally we allow dogs to be left alone, as long as they will not become distressed.  

We ask that dogs are left without access to the bedrooms or living room. If you wish to bring your own blankets for sofas please do, otherwise please do not allow dogs on the beds or sofas.  

We accept 2 dogs in Wild Cherry, Chestnut, Hornbeam and Walnut and up to 3 dogs in Oak, Rowan and the Farmhouse. If you wish to discuss this please contact us.

No, we do not operate a booking system for guests to use the pool. There is a 10 person limit on the pool at any one time. We ask guests to restrict use to 1 hour during busy times. The pool is open 9am to 8pm daily. Please bring your own towels for swimming.

We do have bookings made by members of the public when the cottages are quiet or empty. We support young adults with additional needs on a Monday and Friday 1.00-2.30pm where the pool is closed to all.

Yes we have wifi throughout the cottages and is included in your stay.

Situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons amongst beautiful countryside on a traditional working farm which is close to the Cathedral town of Brecon, Builth Wells, Hay on Wye, Crickhowell and Abergavenny.  There is plenty to do for all the family from Llangorse Multi-Activity centre, explore The Brecon Beacons, the Waterfalls at Blaen-y-Glyn and Bike Park Wales to visiting the Cathedral in Brecon and three castles nearby.

Located on a traditional working farm, our tours are very popular with the all the family and our play area has swings, slides, sand pit and football goals which are situated by the cottages.  Also enjoy the amazing night skies from your own cottage as we are situated in one of 5 dark sky reserves in the world.
